Description

The piece features curved and shaped lines, typical of the late Baroque style, with a strong emphasis on scenographic impact and the dynamism of forms. Made of walnut burl, it showcases inlaid work with prominent ebonized fillets, a technique commonly used in Lombardy during the 18th century.

The upper section consists of a two-door display cabinet with original mercury mirrors and a boldly contoured cornice. The lower section includes a central fall-front desk with an internal writing compartment, and drawers beneath with a serpentine front. The sides are remarkably concave in shape. The entire piece rests on shaped truncated pyramid supports.
