Description
A George III sterling silver coffee pot, William Cripps, London, 1776
Of slender pear shaped form, raised on a circular moulded foot with a beaded border. Rich applied decoration comprising suspended swags, ribbon ties, oval pendants, and stylised foliate motifs. The swan neck spout is finely modelled and embellished with a beaded edge and foliate ornament. Carved and shaped wooden handle.

Condition
Slight signs of age and superficial scratches. The four hallmarks are struck on the underside of the coffee pot. The maker's mark and the lion passant are also struck on the underside of the lid.
