A silver representative service, Odiot, Paris, 19th century
Silver, chased, cast, chiseled, and partially gilded. The impressive and representative ensemble for the highest demands consists of: a tray, coffee pot, teapot, milk jug, chafing dish with hot water kettle, and sugar bowl. Each piece stands on Rocaille feet and is overall dedicated to the Louis XV style, featuring Rocaille and ribbon work on a satin-finished background, partially gilded on the inside. The oval tray has foliate handles on the short sides and a richly cast, vegetative motif decoration along the rim.
Silver marked with three hallmarks:
- The number model
- The hallmark identifying the manufacturer features the letter "O" and an ancient lamp. The punch mark was engraved on October 31, 1865, and canceled on April 14, 1894.
- The hallmark: "Odiot à Paris."

Slight signs of age and superficial scratches. The three hallmarks are present on the base of tray, coffee pot, teapot, milk jug, chafing dish with hot water kettle, and sugar bowl.
