Half-leather binding, spine with four raised bands and gilt titles. Marbled boards. Single volume. The Discovery of the Earth: first part illustrated with 49 engravings and 6 maps; second part illustrated with 51 engravings and 5 maps. The Begum’s Fortune; The Mutineers of the Bounty: the first part of the work is illustrated with 43 black engravings in the text, in addition to a full-page illustrated frontispiece. The second part is illustrated with 5 black engravings in the text. The two parts have continuous pagination.

Condition
Minor signs of wear to the boards and spine. Pages slightly browned. Handwritten inscriptions dated 1919 on the frontispiece of the first part of The Discovery of the Earth. Overall, a complete copy in good condition.
